DISTURBED AS DISTURBING AS SUPSECTED
A great show to have around Halloween, Lauv and In This Moment are a dark and macabre duo. When In This Moment started Big Bad Wolf, the crowd really roared, and that was worth the price of admission. Both sounded good and really played to the crowd, being a lot of fun. They were also quite political, talking a lot to the crowd about addiction and depression, the need for help for people who suffer from these afflictions. I'm always happy about a good political statement, but it was a little much at times. Regardless, the music was great - it is visceral. Lauv and In This Moment have a lot of good songs, but hearing their cover of Phil Collins was as great as I suspected it would be. I think I like their version better than Phil's. The concert was great, would definitely go again.
